Whitby is a small town set amid the rural beauty of Durham Region but easy to find on highway 401 just east of Toronto.
Ezra Annes stands on Wellington Street, an exclusive residential neighbourhood just steps from the Lynde Creek ravine and parklands. Our guests love the peacefulness of our surroundings and enjoy seeing the birds in our garden.
Driving from the West
From Highway 401 eastbound, take the Salem Road cut-off (Ajax) and drive North on Salem to Kingston Road (Highway 2.) Turn right (east) and proceed for 5.0 km. (The major intersections you pass through includes Lakeridge Road, White Oaks Drive and McQuay Blvd./Jeffrey Street). Wellington Street is the second street on the left just past Jeffrey Street. The Wellington Street sign is difficult to notice.
If you pass a Tim Horton's coffee shop on your right, then you have gone a little too far. (Rather than make a U-turn, continue to Cochrane Street and turn left. Proceed and again take your first left (Gifford Street). Gifford will take you directly to Wellington Street. Turn right. Ezra Annes B&B is on the right hand side.
Driving from the East
From Highway 401 westbound, take the Brock Street North (Whitby) cut-off. Proceed north on Brock Street for 0.4 km and make a left hand turn at Burns Street. Continue on Burns St. for 0.8 km to Annes Street and make a right hand turn. Proceed for 1.1 km through the intersection marked with signal lights (corner of Annes and Dundas Streets) making a left hand turn at Giffard Street. Giffard Street will take you to Wellington Street. Right hand turn on Wellington.
